The hotel earns praise largely due to its exceptionally friendly and attentive staff, who create a warm atmosphere from the moment guests arrive. Such genuine hospitality adds a human touch that elevates the overall stay.
Rooms at Hotel Frederiksborg are described as clean, comfortable, and modestly spacious, equipped with amenities like free Wi-Fi, air-conditioning, and flat-screen TVs. Guests note some variability in bathroom design, such as the use of handheld showers, which may not suit all preferences, but the consistently spotless environment and cozy beds leave a positive impression. The staff at this hotel is an absolute standout. From the moment I checked in, I was greeted with warm smiles and attentive service. Every request was met with a prompt and gracious response. The concierge was especially helpful, offering fantastic recommendations for local restaurants and attractions.
Positive: - close to public transport for all the types metro, tramway and bus - good food and hard options at the hotel itself - super friendly and polite staff - clean, comfortable and spacious rooms - clean washroom / toilet area - very close to basilic infact you can see it from the hotel window and corridor. - classic vintage styled restaurant and the hotel is well lighted up with nice wooden flooring Negative: - A bit far from the Brussels north (gare du nord) station. Can take 40 minutes by walk (you need to have strong legs like mine;)) - too narrow entry gate and too small elevator, is not wheel chair friendly
It's a good place to have lunch or dinner. Menu of the day is good and not expensive. Also there are a lot of different delicious dishes.
Very helpful and friendly staff! The rooms were clean and were a decent size. The bathroom was okay, it had one of those “european” handheld shower heads instead of it being fixed on the wall, which makes me get cold when I shower. The lift is very small and we barely fit with our luggage, I almost fell trying to get my luggage out. There are food, stores and “bodegas” nearby. The tram station is a few blocks away, about 10-15 min walk or you can take the bus right next to the hotel. There’s a cathedral in front and a restaurant underneath. Would stay again.
Extremely friendly staff, especially Daniel. He was friendly and accommodating. The room was small but sufficient. It had a private bathroom that was small, but the bed was nice, the desk was adequate. We were on the street side and I could not hear the traffic. I would stay here again and will recommend to my friends.
The hotel staff were nice and helpful with places to visit. The rooms were a bit small with a view of the park and church from your window. The breakfast offered in the morning is enough to start your day with breads, cold cuts , juice and fruits. There is a hotel bar located downstairs. The wifi can be spotty with no service in the rooms.
I really had a nice two nights here, bus stop is next to the hotel and my room view is the church! The location is a bit off from the center, buts all good!
Great location, 5 min to the metro nice walk to park, great street view of the park and basilica, amazing bathroom! Super clean rooms with very comfortable beds, TV and wifi all around the hotel. Restaurant down stairs if you felt lazy about to the city, laundromat close by, bus stop next to hotel, play ground in the park if you travel with kids. I recommend this hotel.
